This beautiful old Gibson is from the 1940’s. It had been tucked away with a humidification pack inside the body. The moisture pack had deteriorated and the material was seeping through the wood. The pack had to be completely cleaned out from the inside of the body and the exterior fishing in that area sanded off. We are now applying new stain to the damaged area and will be blending in some clear then hand sanding and polishing to get it back in shape.
